Greek or International driving permit issued at least one year before time of rental.
Minimum rental duration
is 24 hours (1 day). Every additional hour is charged 1/5 of the daily price. Kilometer count begins and ends at the rental office.
Payment options:
The clients can pay cash or pay by their credit card. The credit cards that we accept are : VISA, MasterCard. Additional charges should be paid the time the car is delivered to you. All prices are in EURO.
Prolongation
of the rental time: If the client wishes to prolong the rental of the car beyond the amount of time agreed in the contract, he has to immediately contact the station of the car's tenancy and pay the value that corresponds to additional rental time. Otherwise he will be driving the car illegally and without a driver's insurance.
Refund
There can be no refund of money in case the client decides to decrease the time of the car's rrental, which has been originally agreed.
Assurance
during the assignment of the rental contract : there will be confirmation at your credit card, with the amount of money for the remission of damage responsibilities (CDW).
Necessary documents :
When the car is delivered to you should have with you the following documents:
A copy of the voucher
Valid driving permit
ID (Passport)
Credit Card. The owner of the credit card should be present. The credit limit of the card should be sufficient in order to cover the assurance as well as other probable charges.
Taxes:
Municipal tax 2% and V.A.T. 19% on the total amount are paid by the customer.
Rent here – Drop-off there:
Rentals or drop-offs between cities are possible only with a previously written and signed agreement. Unlimited-kilometer deals are exempt.The client will be charged 0,50€/kilometer.
The deductible amount
is equal to 300,00€ plus local taxe and is charged in full.
Travel aboard ships and ferry-boats:
Permitted only with a written approval by the company.
The automobile is rented to the customer
according to the terms and conditions stated on both sides of the contract.
The automobile is to be driven only by the lessee
or any other person who has signed the contract. The lessee is responsible for all traffic violations, restricted parking violations etc., as well as any legal consequences arising from them.
In case of an accident
the client is obliged to :
Report the accident to the cooperator of MAAN within 48 hours
Call the Police
Send to MAAN any document related to the accident and the whole incident
Note any names, addresses and phon numbers of people who might have witnessed the accident.
Every accident report is charged 25,00€ plus local taxe for administration fees.
Any violation of the terms of this contract
holds the lessee responsible in case of complete loss or damage to the vehicle whether or not the lessee accepts the CDW. CDW is not insurance.
Traffic violations:
All traffic violation fees and fines as well as any legal consequences arising from them are the sole responsibility of the customer.
Fuel:
Paid by the customer (unleaded gasoline only).
We provide Children's seats
and special chains for the snow as long as you make a reservation. Such provisions are charged 2,00€ /day, for the first 10 days.
Pick-up – Drop-off:
Free at airports, seaports and hotels throughout the city. In the city: 6,00€ and city suburbs: 15,00€. For traveling outside the city, the customer is charged with 0.5€/kilometer for each drive: For pick-ups and drop-offs outside company working hours (21.00-08.00), there is a charge of 20,00€.
Vehicle changes:
The company reserves the right to change the vehicle type or model in certain situations.
Additional drivers:
any additional driver are charged with a daily price of 2,5€/driver. The charge is solely for the first 10 days of the rental agreement. Additional drivers connot be more than three(3).
Loss of keys :
the keys of the car ought to be given to the cooperator of MAAN at the end of the rental agreement. Otherwise the lessee isobliged to cover all other expenses that will ensue for the replacement of the keys.
If the Car is returned so dirty
that will require a full clean up the client will be constrained to cover the expenses of it. Heavy dirt on upholstery or tar on the body is charged 70,00€ plus local tax.
Damages :
to the interior of the car (upholstery, dashboard, r/cd) as well as keys, mirrors, wheel covers and antennas are not coveredby any insurance unless they were caused in an accident.
The lessee is obliged to repair and reimburse all damages and casualties, which have been made during the period of the rental agreement in case that:
Out company is not informed within 48 hours.
The car has been used to transfer people or objects for money.
The car has been used in order to trail another car or objet.
The car has been used in speed contests.
The car has been rented to other people.
The driver was drunk, on drugs or affected by any other subtance that may have influenced his ability to drive properly.
The driver was breaking the driving laws.
The driver was transporting heavy, flammable, filthy or rancid objects.
The car was driven out of the road.
The car was used in order to teach others how to drive.
